Introduction

Prior to operation, it is necessary to fill the Standard Centrifugal Pump with water. Once activated, the impeller begins to rotate and propels the water within the pump at high velocities. This water is then expelled, creating a low pressure zone situated near the rotating shaft where the pressure is significantly less than atmospheric pressure. As a result of this pressure differential, atmospheric pressure drives water into the pump through the inlet pipe, thereby flushing the bottom valve. The rapid movement of water within the pump continues as it is propelled out once more by the impeller and into the discharge pipe. This process continues uninterrupted by the rapid rotation of the impeller enacted by the power machine and as a result, water is continuously pumped from lower elevations to higher ones. Application
